Quit rates for smoking cessation programs

Hi everyone,
I am currently evaluating a smoking cessation program run in 7 communities across far western NSW.
I am after information on quit rates and/or retention rates of smoking cessation programs.
We have a high number of drop-outs and while I know that this is common across all smoking cessation programs, I would like some evidence to support this.

Any ideas where I might be able to find this information???

Thanks

Ashleigh

Beyond the Big Smoke

Hello everyone my name is Wes Ford and i am the Project Officer for Beyond the Big Smoke (BTBS) a project aimed at implementing a range of strategies designed to have a positive impact on smoking behaviour amongst staff and user populations of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS's) in Western Australia.

One of the main strategies for BTBS is to establish a multi-agency Project Partners Coordinating Team to advise on strategies, and to support the work of the Project Officers.

I believe that this project has the potential to become a major driving force when it comes to tobacco cessation amongst Indigenous people.

i would welcome any comment advice or just a general chat around what is happening in other commmunities across Australia.

Good bye for now and please do not hesitate to call me or email me if you have any queries.
