National Heart Foundations Position Statement on Indigenous Tobacco Control outlines its position on Indigenous smoking, what the current prioities are and lists its recommendations in tackling Indigenous smoking rates.

National Tobacco Strategy 2004-2009 is one of a series of strategies that together form the National Drug Strategy. The Tobacco Strategy provides a national framework for tobacco control in Australia .

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Complementary Action Plan 2003-2009 has been researched and written to complement the issues raised in the National Drug Strategy and to make them more applicable to Indigenous peoples. Within this complementary action plan, tobacco is recognised as a major factor contributing to the ill-health of Indigenous peoples.

Health Canada : First Nations and Inuit Health (Tobacco)
