Who is CEITC?

Our Centre, which is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing over 6 years, aims to aid the growth in knowledge about Indigenous Tobacco Control.
We began in September 2003 and are based within the Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit at The University of Melbourne.
Currently we have 6 staff who are working in a variety of ways to boost the profile of Indigenous tobacco control and encourage others to undertake work in this area.
Our Centre brings together knowledge from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and tobacco control organisations from around the country to use their expertise in our work.
The CEITC's largest projects will focus on Building a network of researchers and Resource Development.
